How many of us have the time to think? I mean, really think.
Picture this. Person walking the few metres from car park to office. Juggling laptop bag, files and mental notes of millions of things to do. Few fast paces and a small tripping incident happens. The bags and millions of brightly coloured imaginary post-its go flying. A politically correct swear word slips out and then the next step is to gather all belongings and thoughts. Not a second glance at what tripped you; just a deeper frown acquired. For all you care it could be a dead person's leg that you tripped over!
Most of us have all lost the ability to stand and watch. Of course only the jobless and soft in the head watch the world go by on its unerring routine. And our larger crime is that we are teaching this same consuming regularity to our children. Wake up time, time for school, healthy breakfast session, karate class, music hour, sorry can’t do day dreaming today darling, no time!!
Sorry to keep you with my thoughts, the office chair is waiting for its meal...You!
